White Chocolate Coconut Slice

Steering a little away from peanut butter and chocolate this week, I thought I would revisit some of my white treats and create something new. Presenting White Chocolate Coconut Slice.

This is a step up from the White Chocolate Fudge recipe and is even more creamy and tastes even more like those chewy Milk Shake lollies of my youth. (I was sure my teeth were going to come out chewing those lollies.)

What’s up with curbing cravings?

curbing cravingsEverywhere I read about special teas to help you lose weight, or shakes, or pills or any other fan-dangled thing that is supposed to cut your appetite or help with curbing cravings. I’m just wondering why this is necessary?

Why do you need to stop feeling your cravings?

Lemon Noodle Salad

lemon noodle saladI just wanted to share with you my current favourite salad – the Lemon Noodle Salad. I could eat this at least four days in the week, as it’s just so light and tasty and really hits the spot. The best part is that it’s super easy (I don’t cook any other way) and is really adaptable to whatever you have in your fridge.

So there are only a couple of essential ingredients to make it taste similar to mine and these are:-

Natural Deodorant Review

slim bodyFinding a natural deodorant that actually works has been a life long quest. In this natural deodorant review, see if I finally make the discovery.

We all use different products every day and reviews are gaining more traction these days, so you know what to try and what to avoid. That is – if they are honest.

I will always give my honest opinion whether the product was provided by the company or not, as there is this little issue of integrity! Totally important to me.

Chocolate Brownies with Sweet Potato

brownies

So while my last blog post was about how raw cacao is not that great for you after all (read it here)   – here’s a Chocolate Brownie recipe using cacao!

What??

Raw cacao chocolate may not be such a super food.

chocolate cake

Boo! Devastated.

I know, right?

Unfortunately, we’ve all been sucked in (me included, big time,) by the marketers who conveniently leave out the bad bits, when singing the praises of raw cacao.

So while it may have some benefits, for some people the bad outweighs the good and problems arise. Let’s just say, it’s no bone broth!

Easy Frittata Recipe

pumpkin fritattaA beautifully easy Frittata recipe to add to your weekly round up.

Little story before I launch into the recipe for this one – this week I saw a picture/recipe for cauliflower cheesecake. Yep vegetable as a cheesecake and given that I am always on the lookout for ways to eat more veges, this was a little exciting. (This was way back when I thought cauliflower was healthy.)

Stevia causes Belly Fat

steviaIs it true that stevia causes belly fat?

In this whole weight loss and health game, I like to be my own grand experiment to see what works for me and makes me feel amazing, hopefully all the time.

So I read up on different healthy food related topics, try them on for size, then make up my own mind as to whether what is written is true for me. Which is why I might be in favour of a product at a point in time, but after using for six months or more, I will change my mind because of the effects it has on me.

One of these products for which I have had a recent switch-o change-o is Stevia.

Juice Cleanse

3 Day Juice Cleanse

3 day juice cleanse

A 3 Day Juice Cleanse called Schkinny Maninny – sounds like a dance doesn’t it? Or at the very least a fad product in the weight loss world, of which you should steer clear.

However I am pleased to report that Schkinny Maninny is none of those things.

When I first heard of it, I was totally sceptical. These are the thoughts that popped in my head…
