Ray Peat mentioned that he is trying a bit of Oat Bran recently and feeling better for it. I personally feel better minimising starches and grains. I still have 25% of my carbs as starch because I find just sugar/fruit alone doesn’t feel quite right, especially in winter.
So I bought some Oat Bran this Australian winter just to try it.
I had lunch with a friend recently, who like me, has been into the whole losing weight, trying to be healthy thing for years. She had tried everything too but had been in a good place for quite a while. She believed she had found her perfect mix of exercise and eating without too much drama, and she had maintained her 20kg (40lb) weight loss for the longest time.
I recently saw Sarah Wilson, creator of the I Quit Sugar program, showing her new jumper with SUGAR SUCKS on it. It made me wonder. Is this getting a bit too negative, counter productive and perhaps even wrong?
