Easy Appetizers

I just wanted to document these Easy Appetizers for myself because I forget to make them!

Does this happen to you?

When I am hungry now, I want my easy appetizers now! So I tend to try and make it as quick and easy as possible and not an ordeal to make.

So in order to remind myself, as well as everyone else, here are a few easy appetizers to keep on rotation.

avocado dip

Avocado Dip*

1 Avocado
2 TBS Greek Yogurt
pinch Rock Salt

Mash together.

(Other addition suggestions have been garlic oil and lemon juice. Thanks Bec!)

Enjoy with carrot sticks or cucumber slices.

PB & Tahini Dip*

1 TBS Peanut Butter
1 TBS Tahini
2 TBS Olive oil
pinch Rock Salt

Mix together and enjoy with carrot & celery sticks.

Cucumber with Feta & Tomato

8 slices cucumber
8 cubes of feta
8 slices of tomato
Rock Salt & Pepper

Assemble together, sprinkle with salt enjoy.

All  good fats, with hopefully enough flavour to keep the hunger at bay for a few hours. For those who don’t do dairy perhaps another marinated vegetable would work or a tasty meat?

*Update 2020 – I now eat following the principles of Dr Ray Peat which means I don’t eat avocado very often any more or peanut butter and tahini. Occasionally I will eat PB2 which is peanut butter powder which had had most of the PUFA removed. The diet I follow is called the Zen Beach Diet.
