Did you know that sugar is actually a powerful metabolic food that feeds every cell in your body? The biggest problem though, is that we all eat it incorrectly, then blame the sugar for being bad for us. Anyway, that’s a thought bubble for another post!
So for those who still allow a little sugar in your life, here is a super easy vanilla ice cream that easily trumps store bought chemical-filled options, and tastes amazing!
I’ve been reading lots of recipes for banana ice-cream lately with some peeps even making whole recipe books about it! And most others declaring that it is soooo good. I’ve been meaning to try it for a while, but I don’t usually eat bananas as I find them too starchy and just all too much really.
I’ve bought bananas a few times and cut it up and whacked it in the freezer with the intention of giving it a go, to see if it is ‘just like normal ice-cream’ as they say but every time I would forget and 3 months later – oops the frozen bananas are a bit too rank to do anything other than throw them away. (Sorry food waste police!)
I don’t know about the southern states but here in Queensland summer has hit with a vengeance. We’re having 30°C (86°F) days most days even though it’s only mid Spring. So hot weather calls for nothing better than a nice ice-cream and it’s even more perfect when the dessert in question doesn’t derail your health and weight loss ambitions. I like it!
