Sweet Treats Dessert Recipes

While I mentioned in passing in a few social media posts that I was making a dessert recipes book, I prefer not to say much about it while I’m doing it, because you never know when the finish line is going to be.

I’m super excited now though to announce – IT’S HERE! Ta da!

fast metabolism snacks

Fast metabolism snacks

Pro metabolic foods and fast metabolism snacks are the only ways you can actually increase your metabolism. Certain exercises can lower your metabolism but only food can increase it.

I had a question on Instagram recently – “why are you trying to eat so much fruit?”

This was in response to one of my snack pictures and caption explaining how I am trying to eat six cups of fruit a day.

Cottage Cheese Dip with Mushrooms

mushroom cottage cheese dip

While I am exploring all things Ray Peat and now lower fat in particular, one food I needed to make peace with is Cottage Cheese. Unfortunately it’s low on flavour which is why we need to add some in this Mushroom Cottage Cheese Dip. (Note on dairy intolerance at the end.)

Brownie Recipe with Applesauce – Ray Peat Inspired

I am slowly working my way through my recipes and tweaking them to be less full of nuts, less fats and introducing more Ray Peat friendly ingredients to offer maximum nutrition, even if it is a sweet treat. This Brownie recipe with Applesauce turned out perfectly!

cherry popsicles

Cherry & Blueberry Popsicles

Have been loving these cherry and blueberry popsicles (or Icy Poles for the Aussies!) just as an after dinner ‘cool me down’ and little sweet hit.

What happened to the cherries this year? Hardly any in the stores and still so expensive. Just as well there are frozen options handy at all times.

how to make gummie bears

How to make gummy bears.

The first step in How to make Gummy Bears is to ensure you have a bear mould. I don’t, so we are making stars instead! Same method, same ingredients, just a different shape.

Now that coffee has crept back into my life a little, it was inevitable that it would appear in some recipes. Added here in this Coffee Gummies recipe, it gives a brilliant taste to the gummie lolly, which ends up all creamy, sweet and bursting with flavour.

Chocolate Sweet Potato Pie

So I posted this Chocolate Sweet Potato Pie a while back on IG and was just waiting to make it again to tweak the recipe a bit and here it is.

Perfection! In my mind and taste buds anyway!

Dairy free and with a base ingredient of vegetables but the smooth taste of chocolate – bring it to me now!
