My day on a plate…

blog, my day on a plate, Julie Wakely

Fellow blogger Julie from Me my Best and I invited me to describe what I eat on a typical day as part of her My Day on a Plate series. I thought it was a great idea because in any kind of conversation around food and all the things I don’t eat, people always ask me, “so what do you eat?!” So here is a snapshot.

And as a double treat, we are giving away a copy of my book – Lite as a Feather! So if you don’t have one yet, by all means enter to win.

See the My Day on a Plate post and competition entry here.

Thanks Julie!

Blossoms,

Doing what works for you…

As I slowly tell people what I am up to with my book, many are curious and ask a few more questions about what the main philosophies are based around and I always reply, “the summary is… doing what works for you.”

For so long, the common message has been that there is one right way and if you are not doing it, then you are wrong. The impression given is that if you can’t do it, then you must be hopeless, useless, have no willpower, have no discipline, you are lazy etc, which is far from the truth. It’s just that the advice given doesn’t work for you.

The path to lemon slice…

So while chocolate is my favourite sweet treat or food or whatever you want to call it, (the fudgy type is what I love rather than cake) I can’t just make only chocolate dessert recipes forever…or can I, hmmm??? Sometimes though I feel the need to break out, discover a new flavour and try to devise a recipe that makes the creation just as amazing as chocolate is to me. Continue reading

Jingle Bells…

Best wishes to you and your family for the Christmas season. I hope you have a chance to rest, have fun, recharge and be ready for an exciting year ahead.

I just wanted to mention that a 5-year dream of mine came true this year with the release of my weight loss/feel good ebook: Slim Birdy – Lite as a Feather.
